Process & Scheduling · FAQ
What should I move or cover inside before the install?
Five items. First, anything fragile on the walls (frames, shelves, mirrors) within 6 feet of the roofline — vibration from nail guns can shake them loose. Second, light fixtures with loose globes or shades in the rooms directly under the roof. Third, attic stored items that could shift if jostled by overhead foot traffic. Fourth, breakable items on tall furniture. Fifth, anything in the garage if the garage is part of the roof being replaced — the crew may need garage access for material storage.
This is a 15 to 30 minute project for most homes. Trill texts a reminder 48 hours before the install with this list so homeowners aren’t scrambling on install morning. We’ve had no major interior damage claims in five years, but the prep is cheap insurance against the small risks.
