Process & Scheduling · FAQ

Should I let neighbors know about the install?

Yes — a quick text or email a few days in advance is appreciated. Roof installs are loud (90+ decibels for portions of the day) and can affect immediate neighbors. Trill provides door-hangers on request to drop on the 4 to 6 closest homes letting them know dates, hours, and our contact info in case of issues.

The thoughtful notification reduces complaints to roughly zero in our experience. Without it, we occasionally get neighbor calls about parking, debris, or noise. With it, neighbors typically appreciate the heads-up and the work proceeds without friction. For HOA-governed neighborhoods, also notify the HOA office before install day; some HOAs require notification 7 to 14 days in advance.
