Metal Roofing for Godfrey and Riverbend Homes

Godfrey roof replacement services

Metal roofs last 40 to 70 years, shed snow and hail better than asphalt, and qualify for energy and insurance discounts in Illinois. The upfront cost is 2 to 3x asphalt, but the lifetime cost is often lower because you replace the roof once instead of three times. Trill Roofing installs metal roofing across Godfrey, Alton, Edwardsville, and the rest of the Riverbend. Standing seam panels, metal shingles, and exposed-fastener systems. 24-gauge and 26-gauge steel with Kynar 500 finish on the panels we recommend most often.

What metal roofing options are available for Godfrey, IL homes?

The metal roof category includes several distinct system types. Trill helps homeowners pick the right one for the home, the budget, and the appearance goal.

  • Standing seam: The premium metal roof. Vertical seams interlock, fasteners are hidden under the panel, longest service life. Best for modern and traditional homes.
  • Metal shingles: Steel or aluminum shingles shaped to resemble asphalt, slate, or wood shake. Good for homes where the homeowner wants metal performance without the standing-seam look.
  • Exposed-fastener (R-panel, 5V-crimp): Lower cost, faster install, exposed screws that need re-tightening or replacement at 15-20 years. Common on outbuildings and budget residential.
  • Gauge: 24-gauge is standard for premium residential. 26-gauge is acceptable for most homes and prices lower. Lighter gauges (28-29) for budget exposed-fastener.
  • Finish: Kynar 500 / PVDF on the top finishes we install (40-year fade warranty). SMP paint systems available for lower cost (30-year typical).
  • Color: 20+ standard colors per manufacturer. Cool-roof colors qualify for ENERGY STAR credit.

Trill Roofing installs metal roofing with the same crew that does our asphalt work. Trained on standing seam panel install (clip spacing, expansion joints, ridge and rake terminations) and metal shingle install. Illinois IDFPR licensed (#104.020330), fully insured. Andy and Trill Roofing provided great service and a quality roof replacement. He was timely and responsive in providing a quote and was affordable. We had to replace our roof and plywood across several areas. He and his team got it done … More in a day and provided photos during and after the job - even drone photos!! Wonderful company and would highly recommend them!

Calling Trill was a great decision.. for many reasons.
But here are the two that stand out to me the most:
    1)
When I was going to get a new roof prior to calling Trill, the insurance was only going to cover 25% of the cost based on what
… More the adjuster told them.
I called Trill Roofing & Andy personally went to my house to meet with the adjuster to ensure they gave us a fair inspection. The adjuster was going to cover 50%. Andy then went back to my house, took pictures of the roof, & sent it to our insurance. The insurance ended up covering the full price (minus deductible), thanks to Andy. I can't thank him enough.
    2)
These guys are EFFICIENT & waste ZERO time. They were at my house within 2 days of getting our claim started & the job was completed in one day. (I literally left that morning, and then got home that evening with a new roof on my house.) It was great work, at a great price - zero corners were cut. The new roof looks amazing.
    3)
I have dogs & they were very diligent about cleaning up nails & other material.
    10/10 would recommend.

We had Trill replace my mother-in-laws roof and gutters. Him and his crew did an amazing job. They were fast to get the job started and Andy was very forthcoming about everything in a way that my mother-in-law understood it. I would recommend … More Trill to everyone and am very grateful for everything they did. Roof looks great and they cleaned up very well when finished. Awesome job all around.

I absolutely love Trill and what they did to our roof! Andy was easy to work with. He took the time to inspect our roof and since the roof hasn't been maintained over the years, we had to replace it. The price was the best out of all … More the bids we got. Their work is phenomenal! They're very professional and did a great job of cleaning up after the roof was finished. I recommend Trill anytime you need a new roof and they also do siding. Thank you Andy!
