Skylight Installation and Replacement for Riverbend Homes

Godfrey roof replacement services

Skylights add natural light, but they fail. Most leaks Trill diagnoses on Godfrey roofs trace to skylight flashing rather than the skylight body itself. Old skylights with degraded seals or flashing kits installed by the previous roofer often leak around year 12-15. Trill Roofing installs new skylights and replaces failing ones in Godfrey, Alton, Edwardsville, and the rest of the Riverbend. VELUX, Wasco, and Sun-Tek brands. Fixed, vented, manual-open, and electric/solar models. Flashing kits matched to the roof material and pitch.

Trill Roofing Roof Replacement Services

What skylight installation work does Trill Roofing handle?

Skylight services covered:

  • New skylight installation: Cut-in on existing roofs. Most efficient as part of a roof replacement, but standalone install is possible.
  • Skylight replacement: Like-for-like replacement when the skylight has reached end of life (typically 15-25 years).
  • Flashing kit replacement: Many “skylight leaks” are actually flashing failures around an otherwise sound skylight. Trill replaces the flashing kit without replacing the skylight.
  • Skylight repair: Cracked glass, seal failure, motor replacement (electric units), or screen replacement.
  • Brand options: VELUX (most common, best parts availability), Wasco (commercial-grade), Sun-Tek (budget option).
  • Style options: Fixed (no opening), vented (manual or electric), tubular (10-14 inch for closets and bathrooms).

Skylight install timing matters: it is far cheaper to add a skylight during a roof replacement than as a standalone project. If you are replacing your roof within the year and have been considering a skylight, ask about the add-on cost. Illinois IDFPR licensed (#104.020330), fully insured.

Andy and Trill Roofing provided great service and a quality roof replacement. He was timely and responsive in providing a quote and was affordable. We had to replace our roof and plywood across several areas. He and his team got it done … More in a day and provided photos during and after the job - even drone photos!! Wonderful company and would highly recommend them!

Calling Trill was a great decision.. for many reasons.
But here are the two that stand out to me the most:
    1)
When I was going to get a new roof prior to calling Trill, the insurance was only going to cover 25% of the cost based on what
… More the adjuster told them.
I called Trill Roofing & Andy personally went to my house to meet with the adjuster to ensure they gave us a fair inspection. The adjuster was going to cover 50%. Andy then went back to my house, took pictures of the roof, & sent it to our insurance. The insurance ended up covering the full price (minus deductible), thanks to Andy. I can't thank him enough.
    2)
These guys are EFFICIENT & waste ZERO time. They were at my house within 2 days of getting our claim started & the job was completed in one day. (I literally left that morning, and then got home that evening with a new roof on my house.) It was great work, at a great price - zero corners were cut. The new roof looks amazing.
    3)
I have dogs & they were very diligent about cleaning up nails & other material.
    10/10 would recommend.

We had Trill replace my mother-in-laws roof and gutters. Him and his crew did an amazing job. They were fast to get the job started and Andy was very forthcoming about everything in a way that my mother-in-law understood it. I would recommend … More Trill to everyone and am very grateful for everything they did. Roof looks great and they cleaned up very well when finished. Awesome job all around.

I absolutely love Trill and what they did to our roof! Andy was easy to work with. He took the time to inspect our roof and since the roof hasn't been maintained over the years, we had to replace it. The price was the best out of all … More the bids we got. Their work is phenomenal! They're very professional and did a great job of cleaning up after the roof was finished. I recommend Trill anytime you need a new roof and they also do siding. Thank you Andy!
