Cost & Financing · FAQ
Is there a cash discount instead of financing?
No formal cash discount. Trill’s quote is the same whether you pay cash, finance, or use a credit card (note: credit cards above $5,000 add a 3% processing fee that other payment methods don’t incur). The financing companies charge us a fee that we absorb; cash payment doesn’t unlock that fee back as a discount because the financing isn’t really ‘free’ to us, just transparent to you.
Where cash sometimes saves a small amount: occasional manufacturer rebates that pass through and 1 to 2% cost-of-capital differences on shorter projects. These are usually under 1% of total project cost. The decision between cash and financing should hinge on your interest rate situation (do you earn more on cash invested elsewhere than the financing costs?), not on a contractor’s pricing structure.
