How accurate is the Trill cost calculator?

Within roughly 8 to 12% of the final quote for typical Madison County homes. The calculator uses current Illinois material rates, average labor rates, and a complexity multiplier based on the inputs. Where it can be off: very simple roofs (calculator overshoots) or very complex roofs with multiple hips, dormers, and skylights (calculator may undershoot).

The calculator is meant for budget planning, not contracts. For an actual quote, Trill visits the home, measures, photographs, and prices line-by-line. That visit is free with no obligation. About 75% of customers find the final quote within 5% of the calculator estimate; the rest see variation either direction depending on what we find on-site.
