What does an emergency winter tarp install actually do?

It buys you 30 to 90 days of weather protection so a permanent repair can happen at the right temperature. Trill’s emergency tarps are heavy-duty reinforced poly secured with 1×4 furring strips screwed into the decking through the tarp grommets. They handle wind to 60 mph and shed snow load up to 1 to 2 feet.

The cost is typically $400 to $800 depending on the damaged area size and the access difficulty. We don’t charge for the tarp materials separately; the price covers the trip charge, the materials, and the safe-access setup (which in winter often means clearing ice from the surrounding roof first). The tarp doesn’t fix anything permanently. It protects the structure until a permanent repair, replacement, or insurance settlement can be scheduled.
