Process & Scheduling · FAQ
When’s the best time of year to replace a roof in Illinois?
Late April through October is the prime window — temperatures are reliably warm enough for full shingle adhesion, weather windows are predictable, and crew availability is at its peak. June and September tend to be Trill’s busiest months because they pair good weather with high homeowner motivation.
March, April (early), and November are workable shoulder seasons with longer scheduling lead times because of weather variability. December through February requires cold-weather adaptations (which Trill does well) but has the advantage of lower demand and quicker scheduling. There’s no ‘wrong’ time per se; the trade-off is weather risk versus scheduling lead time. Most homeowners get the best balance with a May to August install scheduled in early spring.
