Process & Scheduling · FAQ
Where should I keep the warranty paperwork?
Three places, all important. First, a hard copy with your home’s important records (deed, survey, insurance). Second, a digital scan in cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud) for redundancy. Third, the original signed contract from Trill in case of any future warranty dispute about the installation date or scope.
Trill keeps copies of everything for 25+ years on our end, so even if you lose your copies we can reconstruct the records. But your local copy is the fastest reference if you have a warranty question or need to share with a buyer at resale. The transfer process for warranties (when you sell your home) needs the original registration documents, so having them organized saves time then.
